What is Vulcan?#
Vulcan is a power and infrastructure monitoring tool. Vulcan provides insights into the construction status of various projects based on weekly satellite derived intelligence.
The Vulcan Client is written in Python and gives the user access to information on:
The construction status of individual power, data center, and LNG projects as well as estimated completion dates
Power projects build scenarios and a project rank at the plant level
Metadata on power projects provided by the EIA
The Vulcan API#
The Vulcan API provides information on the construction status of power and data center projects worldwide. The Vulcan database includes plant level information for power, data centers, LNG facilities, and power retirement. This includes information on the construction status, earliest and latest online dates, MW capacities, ISOs, and the projects owning entity. Additionally, plant metadata provided by the EIA and comparative metrics against these reports are available.
